Description :

Top of the Range RIB-X 6.5m Very High spec It has 60 hours on it and has been very well looked after and serviced and winterised every year. Fitted with a Yamaha 150hp 4 stroke outboard. It will happily do 45 knots in calm conditions. It’s in excellent condition and has been cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis. Northcraft 6m for sale

She is Northcraft 6m rib built in 2001,blue tubes,white hull.We had a new s/s a frame put on her last year,nav lights,vhf radio,compass.2 bench seats (with storage below) ,were recovered this year,white with a blue trim,single jocky drivers seat and inboard fuel tank. Mariner 90 2 stroke engine fully serviced and running well.Also had her rewired this year.Would make a great starter boat.

Elvis back in Portpatrick

Only a few days now until our BIG ONE, the cruise and Rib event to Belfast Lough and Portpatrick. And of course it wouldn’t be Portpatrick without Elvis. We can now confirm that Elvis will be appearing outside the Crown Hotel. The Crown are also putting on a special ribraid menu for anyone wanting to eat in Portpatrick (not included in Ribraid package).

Stranraer Ribraid a great success

The weekend of June 25th & 26th saw a ribraid to the new destination of Stranraer Dumfries and Galloway. At Ribraid.com we are always looking for new and exciting destinations to take our ribs to so when Stranraer Harbour offered us to come and visit their new marina facilities during the Armed Services Day festival we jumped at the chance.

After a wonderful BBQ lunch we set off from Pier36, watched by a large crowd from the Pier in Donaghadee. Our group then cruised across the Irish sea to the mouth of LochRyan and after waiting for the ferry traffic to leave the lough we were joined by the Girvan lifeboat and escorted to Stranraer and a hero’s welcome followed by a scrumptious buffet dinner.

Ribraider Neill Graham Said “Its brilliant to visit this town by Rib, i’ve been here many times in a car travelling on the ferries but never stopped in Stranraer, it was great to see how much this little town has to offer”.

The ribraiders then spent the evening in the various bars and clubs of Stranraer before getting a good nights sleep. Refreshed we returned to the marina and left by Rib to Portpatrick through some lovely rough seas, great for testing our boats. A stop at The Crown Hotel in Portpatrick gave us just enough time to have lunch and watch the Formula one race before returning to Donaghadee in late afternoon.

A wonderful welcome was had at Stranraer and we will definately return. For visitors to Stranraer Marina it is recommended that you call ahead on 07734 073 421 and you should monitor VHF CH14 & 16 for Ferry traffic in the Loch.

Ribraid Crew in Stranraer Raft Race

During the wonderful and action packed Stranraer Ribraid we put together a team to enter Stranraer’s Raft Race. The team was made up of the crews of Bullit and Joint Venture and came fourth, not made for beginners, though there were only three other teams!

The boys all got soaked but had a great time, asked whether they’d do it next year, George McGonigal from Bullit said “We’ve done it once and once is definitely enough!”.

Big thanks to the crew of the Girvan lifeboat, for spraying them with the water cannon!
